Group Slams Minister Over Buhari Claim In MTN N1.04 Trn Fine

Image
The Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice, ANEEJ, has asked the Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, not to drag President Muhammadu Buhari into the $5.2 billion fine imposed on MTN by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC. Mr. Shittu had said recently in Lagos that President Buhari had the final say on the N1.04 trillion fine on MTN “at the appropriate time in public interest”. “The sheer number of pre-registered SIM cards discovered on the network of the telecommunications company was alarming and worrisome. “MTN has not disputed the charge. They admitted that they were at fault and they apologized for their role in the whole saga,” the minister had said in Lagos. “And they have made a commitment that what happened will never happen again and of course we will take the necessary decision at the appropriate time. “Nigerians should expect that Mr. President will do the best to ensure that public interest is guaranteed. It is not abo...

APC Picks Yahaya Bello As Audu’s Replacement

Image
After extensive consultations, the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday submitted the name of Yahaya Bello as the party’s new candidate for Kogi governorship supplementary poll. Bello replaces Prince Abubakar Audu, who died last weekend after leading the poll with 41,000. It was also learnt that the APC has retained Hon. James Abiodun Faleke as the party’s deputy governorship candidate. Mohammed Audu, the son of the late governorship candidate, was dumped by the party because the party felt that fielding him might vitiate the entire governorship poll in the state. But the people of Kogi West were mounting pressure on Faleke yesterday not to accept the nomination of Bello. Although they asked Faleke to withdraw from the race, the deputy governorship candidate was yet to make up his mind on the next step at press time. Investigation revealed that APC leaders, with the backing of some forces in the Presidency, opted for Bello because he came second in the party’...

I Am Kogi’s Governor Elect, James Faleke Writes INEC

Image
The running mate to late Abubakar Audu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Saturday’s governorship election in Kogi State, has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to declare him governor elect. James Faleke, in a November 26 letter to INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, insisted that under Section 187 of the 1999 Constitution, he was duly elected as deputy governor of Kogi State. While expressing sadness over the demise of his principal, Abubakar Audu, the deputy governorship candidate said INEC had no right under the law to declare the election inconclusive. He accused INEC of deliberately creating what he called “legal conundrum” and urged the APC not to be a party to the action. “In law and logic, no new candidate can inherit or be a beneficiary of the votes already cast, counted and declared by INEC before that candidate was nominated and purportedly sponsored,” Mr. Faleke wrote through his counsel, Wole Olanipekun. “Assuming ...

Open Letter To Women Who Chase Married Men (18+)

Image
Dear Other Woman, If he’s married, you mean nothing. If you’re married, you mean nothing. If there’s another girl at all, you mean nothing. If any of these are true, you’re simply a dumb woman that means nothing to this guy. Almost every guy with a wife does NOT want to replace her with another wife; he’s only f*cking you to feel powerful, and because he’s not supposed to. You’re just a fun toy and nothing more. If you’re married and he’s f*cking you, you’re the other woman. And you aren’t the only one he’s sleeping with. Why would he want to replace his current wife with a lying whore? 1. He likes the fact that you’re coming for him then going home. He wants to think that he’s the only one you’re sleeping with, but he knows in the back of his head that he’s not, and there are others. 2. He’s only using you for what he can get. If you search for the “Player’s Rulebook for Whores,” you’ll find things that explain why he does what he does. You feel like you matt...
